I read the line twice, letting the words sink in.
The dark, rich ink bled softly into the fragile, yellowed pages of the diary, each stroke a whisper from the past. Each sentence felt heavy with unspoken truths, as though the writer had been yearning to unleash a torrent of emotions rather than confining their thoughts to a single, enigmatic phrase.
The air around me seemed to thicken with the weight of their hidden stories, begging to be uncovered.
